A new version of the NaPTAN XML Schema V1.4 was released on 8 August 2005. The change to the schema is to make Landmark and Localitycentre optional fields.

Support for V2 NaPTAN Schema was launched on 26 January 2006. The V2 NaPTAN Schema can be found on the NaPTAN website

Versions V1.0, V1.1, V1.2, V1.3, V1.4 and V2.1 of the XML Schema are supported for submission of data to the NaPTAN database. Versions V1.4 and V2.1 of the Schema are used for all exports of data from the NaPTAN database.
